ABOUT
KANKEO’s 10th annual soirée celebrates the marvelous exhibitions and programs the institution produces. Featured at the soirée is the opening of Linda Fleming’s “Experimenta De Vacuo Spatio.” Fleming’s work is familiar to Omahans, as she is one of five artists whose pieces are currently displayed at the Gene Leahy Mall Sculpture Garden. Fleming’s KANEKO exhibition will take place throughout the space in an exciting juxtaposition of early and new works, illuminating Fleming’s explorations of place, structures and matter.

Full Moon Hike

How is the Forest different after the sun goes down? How does the full moon affect nocturnal animals? Head to Fontenelle Forest to find out! The program will include an educational discussion of the nocturnal animals around the Forest and a brief talk about the lore of full moons. After your hike, enjoy s’mores around the bonfire.
